There is a longstanding tradition of arts and crafts in Catalonia.
In order to accredit handicraft production, Artesania Catalunya recognizes the authenticity
of crafts products by issuing:
- Professional handicraft licences to artists who make a living from the arts and crafts.
- Cultural handicraft licences to artists who are involved in teaching and training in the field of the crafts.
- Master Craftsman's Diplomas to artists who have made outstanding contributions to the profession.
- The distinctive Qualified Artisans. Product (PAQ) label.
- Public spaces where groups of craftsmen can promote their products.
- Prestigious monographic or multi-sector trade fairs.
